yet another problem...
I drove my bluebird b13 home from the shop today after installing new axles and a new rack. it drove perfectly fine. I went back outside to go somewhere and now it wont start. it will turn over but no start. so I push started it and it started but it wouldn't idle at all, had to keep giving it gas to keep it running. I turned the idle adjustment screw (on the IACV) out 2 turns, and it started fine. I drove it to my friends house, now it wont start again. any ideas?

Vacuum leak somewhere.

Check that you IACV is connected to the intercooler piping.

Also can you post pictures of your engine we can probably see if something is missing or miss-placed

Try this disconnect intercooler piping from throttle body have some one turn the key while you spray starting fluid into the throttle body if it turns on right away its a gas related problem.

But post pictures

you can't just turn the idle screw out on the iacv you need to rev 3 times turn the car off unplug the tps, start it and rev 3 more times then adjust the iacv, turn the car off and reconnect the tps and see where it's at then. Sounds like base idle problem to me, maybe check to see what your tps is set at with the throttle closed, should be ~.35v

Will the car start and stay running when you hold the pedal down a little??

well its also worth mentioning that the BOV is shot and wont hold any boost. but its recirculated to the intake before the turbo.

it seems to have issues starting only when the engine is warm. when its cold, like in the morning, it will start. after i drive it for a while it wont start again. I'm very lucky that the weather is cold today, so I just turn the heater on full blast before I turn off the car. that way the engine is hopefully cold enough to start when I need to drive it again lol.

But yes I have a huge vacuum leak thru the BOV and I have a feeling it might be causing all of my weird idle/stalling problems in my other thread.

so when I rev it 3 times, does it have to be a certain rpm that I rev to? cuz my tach doesnt work lol.

pics are comming veryy soon. and I dont think its a gas related problem. I pulled the fuel return line and turned the key (so the pump will prime, not to start the engine) and fuel came squirting out. but I will check the IACV as well.

just checked the TPS. the multimeter read "135.7mv" which I'm guessing means millivolts? and at WOT it was at 3.3v. now I'm not an electrical genius but 135.7mv means 1.35v? I'm probably wrong but if this is true, it must be causing some crazy problems no?

mV = milivolts = 1/1000 volt.

135.7mV = 0.1357V

That doesn't seem out of line for throttle closed.

If you know you have a vacuum leak, then deal with that. Trying to fix other things when you have something significant like a vacuum leak wrong is just going to be an exercise in frustration.

.13 is too low, your tps shoud be around 4.0 at wot and .35 closed. that's part of it. Adjust that and then adjust your idle and see what that does for you. And yes a leaky bov will wreak havoc on and idle as well. Is it a stock dsm valve?? If it is, try crushing it a little in a vise and it will quit leaking at idle.
