I want to run stock 20VE cams with a O2 induction manifod with my turbo , my 44mm wastegate , and my z32 , 72lb program and see how it fairs power wise with forged internals

^I think this is why I decided to stay with my SR20DE JDM motor.

Thats what I am saying.

SE-Rawkus's old VE-T set up was very simple and the car made over 500 whp like nothing. Not sure if many of you have driven a 500+ whp street car. It is one hell of a ride.

simple VE+T build for me:

GTiR shortblock with VE head

or

DE/T with eagle rods CP pistons

head would have S&R setup with n1 cams, ported runners on stock VE IM or go 02IM
log mani with gt35 journal or sc61 if going for plus 500whp or gt3076 will do if not going for big power

Reason I like the GTiR is because of its 12mm studs or you can just get AEBS studs for the DE/T plus you dont have to enlarge the holes in the VE head

OEM h/g or cosworth

Calum ECU

how would you overcome the bigger dowels in the GTiR block? custom dowels or enlarge them holes too?

also N1 cams with a turbo????

To much overlap I would think. They are big cams.

I saw in one of your posts that you are going to boost the VE, how much are looking to do?

The stock cams have too much overlap by themselves. the stock 20VE cams have 20* more overlap than even the integra type R cams. This is good for scavenging, but only works on really big, freeflowing, turbos.
