What I am looking for is a quick DD at a single boost level on pump gas with a quick spooling turbo. I am starting to think a GT2860RS setup would be better suited for what I am looking for and lowering my power goals to 350whp. Do you guys believe I should be able to reach this goal on 93 pump at 15psi with S4 cams?
Use the GT2871R, with .86 ar turbine housing.
It will make the 350-370 WHP mark with JWT S4 cams at 15PSI with no problems . If you change your mind for more WHP then you will have it. It is always best to not run the turbo right at its power level peak as you tend to run high intake and exhaust temps.
350-360 WHP is pushing the GT28RS to its limit and they usally see that WHP at 16-17 PSI. It can make alot more with external wastegate but keeping things simple with internal wastegate is the way to go for what you want.
GT2871R for the win
