Thread: Garrett T25 from Saab?

I have a chance to pick up a great shape Garrett T25 turbo, off of a 95 Saab 9000. Still attached to the manifold and all of that, which I know I wont be able to use, but is the turbo itself useable?? LMK if so I'm picking it up this afternoon.

Might have to head out soon, if anyone can even send me a quick text when they know the answer to this, that would be greatly appreciated. Not often i get a chance at a great shape turbo for $50. Thanks guys!

You'll probably have to mod the a j-pipe, downpipe to fit. But why bother with the fab work if oem parts for these motors are easy to get. Especially a t25 you wont have to mod, which are cheap to begin with.

So is it not worth the trouble? I know it is a t3 flange, garrett t25. Has 4k miles on it, zero shaft play, etc.
They're asking $50 for it. He was originally wanting $75 but I told him I didn't need the manifold or any of that, and he agreed at $50

Personally save your $50 and get an oem t25.

FYI I'm a complete turbo noob. I've had two turbo cars, and don't know anything about it. When i bought this b14, it had a turbo in the trunk, that was given with the car, with a big crack through the compressor and a ton of shaft play. not sure how that one happened. But anyways, it was never put on.

Hope you didn't buy that turbo, like said before.... just save for o.e. unit and it will cost you less in the end. You will need a custom manifold with that turbo, which if you have to pay someone, will be expensive

skipped out on it, thanks. Might be worth the effort if it were a bigger/high dollar turbo, but apparently not worth it for a t25.

look into the mazda MP3 T25 turbo i used that turbo on my first setup and bolted up nice.. its a GT2854R turbo same as the GT25R turbo just has a slightly bigger turbine wheel.. so i been told.. and that are cheap... and spool quick at 10psi..
