Anyone still have windshield washer?
So when I boosted my car I had to get rid of the reservoir to run my intercooler piping. It didn't bother me much when it was warm out because I hardly used the washer anyway. However it's getting cold here in the NE and I know snow is going to be coming our way within a matter of weeks.

The problem is I have no reservoir and therefore no windshield washer. That is going to suck big time when it's snowing and I can't see anything through a dirty windshield. I'm just wondering how you guys have tackled this problem after boosting your car. Is there a universal unit I can mount on the firewall or something? So far all the universal bottles I've seen come without a pump.

I had to do this to my civic, worked well and I mounted it where my stock intake box was, though, i don't know how much space you have.

Route your piping through the rad support or under and problem solved

I went under the rad support so my reservoir is still there

I went under through the metal attached to the rad support, but my exhaust made me move the stock fluid reservoir to the trunk.

I had my reservoir mounted in the trunk for a couple years. Later I bought a universal pump and mounted it in the fenderwell just behind the i/c pipe and used one of the antifreeze shaped bottles of washer fluid in the area where the overflow bottle used to be. I moved the overflow bottle to near the a/c lines went into the firewall. I just drilled a hole in the cap and ran the hose into the bottle. When I ran out I just bought a new bottle and switched the cap/hose over.

That would cause more issues because my car is lowered. The IC piping is going to scrape all over the place because NYC roads suck. Also I would basically have to redo my IC piping which would mean I would probably have to buy new piping.

Were you guys using the OEM pump with the reservoir in the trunk? I didn't realize the OEM pump had that much pressure to send the fluid that far..That seems like an option for me as well as long as the pump can handle the distance.

I found this unit on EBAY for under $20..seems like what I'm looking for but this "plastic reservoir bag" part is kinda confusing..

That looks like it would work just fine. You just need a pump some hose and something to hold the fluid. Whatever you want it to look like.

Personally I could have kept mine (intercooler pipe routes on the side of the radiator) but it just seems like dead weight. I tossed mine as soon as I bought my car and later on the wipers. Rain-X works great in the winter too

I understand, our VA roads are generous to us. I was worried about scraping my exhaust/oil pan when I took my lowered SE-L through NewEngland. Piping has never been a concern.

Mind you I did use 2" piping to go under the rad support. But I did use a Hotshot outlet which forces the pipe to sit rather low.
