GTi-R manifold with T25
If you have a GTi-R manifold and you run an Avenir T25 will the turbo still be in the same spot pretty much? and use the same stock Avenir oil and coolant lines or do you have to change something?

It will be shifted out a little. I reused stock bluebird hard coolant lines and a stock S14 hard oil feed line when I upgraded to a GTi-R mani and turbo a few weeks ago.

Did you have a bluebird or an Avenir manifold on the car before?

Bluebird. There isn't that much of a difference in turbo placement between the 3 stock manifolds.

True but there is a difference. The Avenir is closer to the GTi-R then the Bluebird. So Im hoping I can get away with not having to modifiy my stock Avenir lines. Im wondering if anybody knows for sure. I dont want to get my manifold ant turbo off only to find out that I wasted my time and need to put the stock stuff back on.

How about your oil return line. Did you re-use the stock bluebird one?

You might have to bend your lines a little like I did, no big deal there. You need to use a t28 drain flange or heat and bend your t25 one.

^^^^ Exactly. Few years ago I was running the GTIR/T25 setup and you have bend or modify your oil drain line. The oil feed and water you just have to move them just a bit. Don't forget to use your T25 J-pipe too.

Good Stuff. Thats what i was hoping! THe oil and water lines are simple. I was just worried about the drain.

When you say I have to bend the drain. What do you mean? Just bend it to the side a bit since the turbo will be facing slitly turned?

Yeah, so it can line up with the drain in your motor. Some people would say "heat" bend it but I was able to bend it by hand without breaking it.
