Thread: fwd t3 manifold differences

so i hear you can run the RWD manifold but it causes fitment issues on FWD. I also found a manifold that says its for fwd but has the turbo moved a little more to the driver side. It doesnt look to me like its a big difference. does anyone have pictures of any of the t3 manifolds that are offset to one side vs the RWD ones? Im curious cause i want to do a t3/t4 setup and dont want to run one of those civic radiators.

Log manifold Fits like a glove.

i have a rwd manifold that was bolted to a fwd de block worked like a charm....i cant use it as i have a gti-r motor now and the heads are different....

Bullshit, I have a rwd mani on my GTIR motor as we speak.

Exhaust side is identical to the regular motor.

not really fitment issues, you just have to grind down like an 1/8" spot under your upper rad. housing.

Mazworx makes some pretty cheap diy weld up fwd manifold kits if you are trying to save a few bucks. You can also weld a t3 flange on a gtir manifold and go that route as well.

You can get any rwd manifold to work on a fwd engine. There will there be cutting and welding involved 99.9% of the time though.
