I agree that it can be a hassle to do the switch over. I love my bb cause it is mean. It has mad pull and runs like a raped ape. I am with stratton on the run what you got until you ain't got it anymore. I have S3 cams in it and only run the boost at about 9 - 11 psi. I'm about to drop a T28 in it with some larger injectors. I just had to replace my head due to the head gasket blowing and me not parking it in time to keep it from really warping the head.I am putting the new head on mine next week and will be dropping it back in hopefully having it ready for Golden Gardens in March. Then off to the tuning fun I go....do da do da.

I have heard that the high ports flow better but I was reading that the difference isn't enough to really notice. I don't know for sure that is just what I read. I guess my favorite thing about the bb is that it kicks a$$ right from the start. New cams and more boost and you have a monster. So eventually switch it to that and go for broke with it. I still want your NX stratton. Well at least you piping and FMIC. So when you want to give it away let me know and I will say thank you. LOL.

the highport heads do flow more, i do believe what i real is that the highport head is 1mm of flow ahead of the low port head

Ya i remember that thread about the high port being 1mm ahead of the lowport. That is why i was thimking of swapping the head.
Prehaps it would get the snail to spool up quicker?

well, not only that, but the 1mm behind could make alot of differences in camshaft selections, because the flow will always be 1mm behind the highport, so the same cams have alittle more potential in the highport than the lowport as far as flow.

i would definitly say if you ever have the head reworked the highport would be the way to go becuase the flow design will be better off the bat let alone with it reworked, thats just me

Thanks for the input every one. So far I am leaning towards keeping it a lowport and adding cams. I got the car dynoed last year so I'm going to dyno after cams are broken in and see what I get. If I get the time in a few months i will swap heads and re dyno and see what the high port can get me
I'll keep you posted

O.K. .... do nothing except put a good set of cams in... S4 or better. Please stay away from the the BC stuff.. unless you have to. Build everything right then get the calum tuned proper and go from there. If you want get an O2 induction mani, thermo spacers, and port the head but I don't think you will need to. Just see what you will yeld with your setup and a proper tune.. you should be happy.
