I had the JWT pressure plate for about 3 months or so. At which point I ripped it out of the car and went to an ACT heavy duty pressure plate.

I hated the JWT. It feels horrible in a 200sx.

I have a 01 SE PP and disc, but mine started slipping about a month ago.

I'm at around 250-270ft lbs tho.

Gotcha well whatever a DET is capable of @ 12 - maybe 14lb spikes
( max for a t25 i believe safe )

Is where I will be power wise, If my JWT is up to that task then im good to go. Whenever i move to a bigger turbo ill upgrade the clutch.

My main concern is just that it will take launching on slicks so I can have some fun. If it wasnt up to the task I would look for a replacement setup.

What do you guys recommend when making a little more power from like a T28 upgrade etc?

Obviously I would like to stick by the rule of just use the amount of clutch you need. Dont wanna start grenading trannies ( been there done that ugh )

There aren't many options for those making around 300 ft. lbs. that don't want to go to something overkill like a 6-puck. You're going to have to get a custom clutch made. Shouldn't be too expensive or hard to do. And if a bunch of us start doing it they would likely start making that disc available in their normal lineup.

I would start with Clutchmasters and see what they'd do for you. It would be really nice if we could get a B15 style, full faced, double sprung clutch with a slightly more aggressive compound. (Semi-metallic instead of all organic?)

I like my clutch in my NX ( 4 puck sprung hub ) but I would like more of a streetable feel ....the 200sx I just bought has the JWT pp and a B15 disc with a fidanza FW ....I hope I like it , I am just wonderign if it can hold up under a 300whp or so daily load I plan for the car .....as far as the JWT PP though , I have heard nothing but good things ....

Years ago I had a 6 puck sprung ACT w/ HD PP and grenaded 2 trannies with 140-150WHP. Went to the JWT PP w/ B15 disk and never looked back.

Just wasnt sure if it will handle 250WHP/250WTQ give or take. I know JWT had a disk that was like 6 pads on one side and like organic on the other. Not sure how that would work out.

JWT makes this semi-metallic disc with a marcel spring and a sprung hub. This disc can hold up to 300 hp and is almost as easy on the transmission as the stock clutch ( PER MOTOiQ -Kojima )

This disc looks like my JWT B15 Disc that I currently have with my JWT PP. ( if its the same setup sweet i know i wont be at 300WHP )

Looks like JWT also has a stage 2 clutch but cannot find specs or harshness info etc.

It's 8 pads and full face on the other side I believe. It's a bad design. Stay away. Vadim post up that link please?

I think this is the exact disc I've been looking for. Almost identical to the B15 disc but with a more aggressive compound (assuming that's what it is).

It looks similar, but you will find the B15 disc is all organic. The strands in the B15 disc material are organic fibers. The strands on this JWT disc should be steel. I'm very happy to see that actually.

The JWT PP and B15 disc I figure is good up until about 250 ft-lbs. With this JWT disc it should be a pretty comfortable 300+ ft-lbs paired with the JWT PP. I'd say 75% of the turbo guys on this forum belong on this setup.

Hey Ben - Thanks a bunch for the heads up, I only have like 20k miles on my JWT setup, At this point looks like maybe I can get away with buying the JWT disc and just pair it with my JWT PP that came with the B15 disc. its def got more life in it.

Now that I think about the disc I have came from JWT as a kit I wonder if its actually the same disc. Ill have to look closer.
