Not sure. I never got around to changing out the stock S&R's on my last VET.

Thats why I stayed around 8k.

On paper it looks like 8500rpm tops with upgraded springs. But I wouldn't push it.

8000 is really good enough. I have got some titanium retainers.

1. I have calculated, that I will have 8,9-1 compression ratio with the sr20ve head, 1.2 mm gasket and the sr20det cp pistons. I want to shift the cr to 8,3-8,5 with my 2.0mm head gasket. so the head will be higher and will reduce the probability of piston and valve collision. am I right?

2. How much boost will I have to make 500whp with this setup?

3. What cam gears settings must I make for the sr20ve cams? (intake and the exhaust)

How much boost it will take to make the power you want all depends on your turbo set up.

As for cam gear settings on 2.0 cams we have seen great results with both cams set at zero.

GTIR head studs are 12mm not 1/2".

12" head studs are 12.7mm which will not fit in a GTIR head without being machined.

12mm =.47 inches. close enough.

it is all up to the gas. I will use pump gas. I think that the 8,5 will be great for the 1.5-1.7 bar boost and the 480-550 whp at the 8000 rpm max.
