Can I use sr20det 8,5 cr cp pistons in sr20vet ?
Must I make piston notches for the sr20ve valves?

will the gtir head gasket fit the sr20ve head?

DET pistons clear sr20ve cams fine ....it is just most of the other VVL cams that wont clear those pistons...

Do you already have the pistons? You can get the cp ve pistons instead.

Also, you'd have to port the holes for the headbolts on the ve head, right?

^ yep gtir uses 1/2 head studs. the ve head will need to be machined to accept them.

thanks. the bottom of my gtir was already assembled. I only wanted to change the head. I already have the arp rnn14 head studs.

ok. I will machine the pistons and the head.

So this is a fact huh. Im considering putting all my det goodies in/on a ve.

You will be fine with 16v cams up to 8000rpm
With DET pistons.
