Help Me Plan My Turbo Build (SE-L)
So this Spring/Summer I'm going to turbo the Sentra. I'm just looking for some tips. I'm pretty sure I'm going with a t25 setup for now since it's daily and I don't got the cash for the t28 and I don't wanna blow my motor . Anyways I need some help with the ECU, since it's different then the other obd2 setup's.
Since there's a write up on how to convert to a 95-97 ecu, I was thinking of doing that and getting a G20 ecu and sending it to Calum. I duno what other options I have besides Stand Alone and thats a little out of my price range.

So Heres My List:
T25 Turbo
370cc Injectors
FMIC
Calum Ecu?
Walbro Fuel Pump
3" Downpipe
Boost/Oil Pressure Gauges
FPR

Duno if I'm forgetting anything, but right now I'm just confused on the ECU situation, so if any of you SE-L guys wanna tell me what setup your running let me know Thanks!

you forgot to list:

Nismo FPR
Boost Controller (manual or digital)
Turbo Timer

sending the ecu to calum would be the easiest way, stand alone would be a complete overkill for such a mild turbo setp

I'd suggest the 3" down pipe. Even if you decide to run a 2.5" exhaust, you can always gain more flow with a larger exhaust eventually. Also, if you ever decide to get cams for the car, the larger downpipe will mean all you'd have to replace is the cat-back. MUCH easier in my mind.

Don't forget to upgrade your clutch
get gauges (boost/oil/water)
go with the 3" downpipe to a 3" exhaust

no boost controller neeeded, run off the stock WG! If you wanna ride in a turbo B14 come on down to Cincy!

haha yeah i've yet to ride in one, and i go to school in lima during the week some weekends, i'll have to set a day to meet up with ya.

yeah i was just naming the main things needed gauges and such is easy stuff lol and i plan on running stock boost for now.

Cams I plan on just getting the 91 highport, or if i come across the money BC Stage 2's.

Clutch is gonna be a must, :/ I need to get a job soon haha

And as far as the ECU there is no option with the Stock ECUcorrect? I can't think of anything if there is

Edit: Oh and Also After the turbo setup is done, Next is a LSD Tranny to put down the Power

A turbo timer is a waste of money, just drive normal for a few minutes and let the car idle for 30sec-1min, I've never had a problem with my T25 like that. No boost controller unless you plan to run more than the stock 7psi and if so I recommend an external wastegate because it would have better flow with the external dump. An FPR if you plan on running 4bar which isn't needed on stock boost, but 370's are good to 290whp on 4bar and better gas mileage on 4 bar. Gauges are a must for oil pressure, water temp, and boost. A good clutch to hold about 300whp, because everybody knows you'll want to go faster once you're boosting. And definitely a 3" downpipe with a cutout so you can run a quiet exhaust on the street or a full 3" exhaust. I have a 2.5" and I regret not getting a 3". Cams for a little extra fun if you have the money, I'd recommend S4's. And if you are not using stock oil lines make sure to get an oil restrictor. Almost forgot, if you can deal with it get some prothanes otherwise the torque from adding the turbo will rip the stock one apart if they are original. Well I tried not to forget anything.

edit: I need to refresh my page more, everything I said was already by the time I finished typing.

good point on the motor mounts i need to get around to that just cuz of the wheel hop has already done in 1 tranny on my old car :/

I don't know much about fuel delivery so im confused with the FRP and 4bar, I'm going to school for this stuff but have not yet taken fuels. I have a 2.5" exhaust now but once i get it all done the 3" will be next on the list.

also agreed on the turbo timer no point if your smart about it

I have a completely stock T25 setup at the moment and I run a calum ECU on 3bar and get 31mpg combined with no tuning. You're supposed to get better fuel atomization on 4bar which and you have less unburned fuel as I understand it. I'm doing a different setup now and I'm going to be running 4bar, I also forgot you need a fuel pressure gauge if you up the psi too.
