Thread: bov opening at idle

we have 4 other sr powered cars that are not recirc and are atmospheric and none of them have had an irratic idle like this one. and this one was fine up intill 2 days ago, which was 2 weeks after the springs was changed out.

is there anything besides the whole recirc thing that would be causeing it to open all the way at idle?

Bro, its designed to open under vacuum. There is nothing wrong with the bov. The harder spring was just fighting it more. You either need to tune for trhe massive air leak thats there or recirc it. The computer sees the bov as a huge vacuum leak as it is, Its venting metered air off. Either put the larger spring back in and deal with surge or tune for the air leak.
