2005 Spec V transmission was used.
I just tried repairing my rear motor mount. I used Window Weld to fill in the major gap in the mount created by abuse. The motor mount was hammered and there was a 1/2" gap around the bolt sleeve. I just filled in the gap in hopes it will help cushion the mount from further abuse. I may end up replacing the mount with a higher durometer urethane, or just getting a solid mount made. I am trying to fix some rattles, and quiet the car a bit. So I want some cushion there.
I have a small coolant leak I need to track down. It is above the starter so I will be removing the starter to see if I can isolate where it is coming from. It is a very very slow leak, but it's enough to be annoying.
I replaced the driver's side transmission seal a few months ago, but now the passenger side has decided to leak. Again, a very very slow leak, but I notice seeping around the seal. A nice drip was starting to form on the bottom of the transmission.
There is a screw on the axle bracket that holds the two halves together. It is one of a couple screws in the aluminum axle bracket, and it has worked its way loose. Time to take the axle out, replace the seal, fix the loose screws with some loctite. Then I am going to replace the oil sending unit that just blew up. Change the oil and filter and a few more tweaks and it should be good for the summer.
The fender liners still need to be put in. They rub the large 225-45r17 tires when on full lock. So I didn't put them in. But now all the pieces of burnt rubber are starting to line the inside of the fender wells. Ah, I'll just assume that's sound-deadening material now. Heh, heh.
I am going to be going underneath the car and searching for things to put rust prevention stuff on. The winter saw some salty roads and I want to do what I can to prevent rust.
The car runs 10 to 10.5psig boost when hot outside, and up to 13psi when it is really cold. That 3psi makes a huge difference in the way the car feels. But it's fast either way.
