Of course, videos are only 10psi with retarded timing. The intercooler was filled with water...sorta. I didn't want to play with any more boost until the clutch is broken in and the car is more finished. The intercooler had to be mounted slightly differently, and the lines don't match up very well now. The battery moved as well. So still a few things left to do. But the hard stuff is done!

Vids are linked here.

A turbo blanket will help with the turbine, and the manifold is wrapped. But I need to upgrade the radiator to a larger one for better cooling capacity. But the manifold is in the way. I think it is time to start cutting stuff, or get a custom radiator to fit the dimensions I need.

damn your car is bad ass! been following this since you started and i am now inspired to swap my NX......i wonder if the rear spec-v stuff would fit under an NX?? be nice to have the same bolt pattern on all 4 corners.....haha.....any luck with figuring out the hybrid axles?

Well, it looks like the axles are a nissan hybrid that they used in some year of Spec. That's why some SER axle outer joints fit on the Spec shafts. I am thinking the 2002 Spec V axles are the ones to get for the swap. But I cannot verify it. I successfully made a driver's side axle without any trouble, but on the passenger side the axle for the Spec V was much much larger.

I'm sure raiding the nissan parts bin will aid you in your swap as well, because a lot of the parts interchange to some extent. The rear beam from a Spec on a NX, not really likely because you have IRS, but you should be able to fit the hub-assembly possibly. Or just press in the larger spindle piece?

Just a question: have you checked your scrub radius? When I did my 6 speed swap the torque steer was crazy due to my KPI being altered so much with the spindle swap and everything. Just a recommendation if you are having more evident torque steer. Now that mine is all dialed in its not even evident, and trust me it was bad.

I was waiting for this answer because I thought that was abbreviation.
Please correct me if i am wrong, but I think this is that same as caster, isn't it?

I wonder if someone will explain how you adjust this if it's not caster.

No i believe king pin on our vehicles refers to the ball joint pivot point. With the different knuckles if they are not placed in the same spot in relation to the hub it will change both your camber and your toe. King pins are more refered to the knuckle where a lot of vehicles especially trucks have a top and bottom pin, refered to as the king pin that attaches the knuckle to the axle assembly. Ours with independent suspension are different but can be refered to as the same. I believe he had an alignment done already so this was probably corrected.
