Thanks guys. I tried the valvoline today. It works better, and almost never grinds except when cold. It still has some crunchy synchro issues, but Im just gonna shift faster lol. It nearly disappears altogether when warm. If anything, the factory gear oil may be the best option for overall performance, but I'm gonna stick with this one for now. If I break the trans, I'll just get another gearstack set lol. But the drive home went without a hitch. Just the notchy gear shifts, which I'm just not used to.
But before I forget, there are a few people that helped make this swap possible, whose help was invaluable during the trials and tribulations of this endeavor.
Greg V, you helped get the ball rolling on this project, got flywheel made, got me tons of parts and helped me along the way. Thanks my man!
Andreas Miko, helped me vent frustrations during the process, and resolve issues that were unforseen. There's a reason I keep you on speed dial when I decide to do stupid stuff
Ashtonsser, thanks for all your insight with the swap as far as axles go. It sucks we weren't able to actually find the solution, but we are close! You have helped me with odd questions along the way and I appreciate it a lot.
Cozzm0AU, thanks for helping me out when you could with the slave cylinder. You have gone out of your way to make this swap possible for me, and you already shipped the slave cylinder before I'd even paid you for it. From one honest guy to another, thanks again!
Terry of Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale, for providing me with all the info for all the crazy questions I've had. This is the guy that led me in the direction for the p11 gearstack swap from the QG18! Thanks for all your time!
My Friends Erick, Ben, Luke, and Andrew, thanks for helping me out with all the extra hands. It's good to have some extra muscle when working on these cars, and as always, you guys are a blast to have around!
Thanks for everything guys! This car is a few steps of refinement away from being everything I had ever dreamed up. This swap could not have been possible without you guys, and I will continue my write-ups to help fulfill someone else's dreams and aspirations for their builds. Thanks everyone!
