Are you finding that stuff in local yards or with car-part.com?

If you need any measurements taken on a real p12 slave cyl for your research LMK

car-part lookups for local yards. Then I go pick them up.

The autozone brembo calipers are not right. they just send regular single piston calipers. Got quotes from dealer today... $215 each, free shipping.

I could buy new at this point... or just buy used off ebay or something. Rockauto lists them at $160 but they want a $125 core. As you all know, i don't have a core lol.

But the wheels should be here monday. I got them used with tires for $850 shipped. They look great, with minor curbage on one wheel. The tires are 235-40r17 and I don't think they will fit. But I figured I could sell them to a EVO guy or something if they didn't. I don't like to cheap out on tires, so if I could save some money with the potenza RE01r's that are on there, I will take it.

I like the RS3 but the RE01R is nearly R compound iirc. I don't really know what is good in tires anymore. But the RE01R is a grippy expensive tire.

i corrected the tire size. 2 are 225-45r17 the others are 235-40r17.

Yes, we usually do it in 4th as well, but we had traction issues in 4th gear, so ran it in 5th instead. It means the losses are higher, but we managed to keep the tyres from spinning on the rollers themselves.

Nope, it is definately a 70 series transmission, albeit an open-diff version.

The 99 P11 tranny (32a with cooling fins) is what we had from 96 onwards, as we also had the roller rocker from this time as well. The Almera GTi and Primera GT came with both from the factory.

However, the last of the SR20 equipped P11-144 Primeras came with the 70 series transmission, as did a number of the QG18DE equipped cars, albeit with a different bellhousing.

I have a P11-144 casing, QG18DE gear stacks (shot peened and cyro'd) and a NISMO LSD.

Run it on 85W-140 truck differential oil and it lasts a lot longer than any of the HD Redline crap!

Nah, the car probably makes in the region of 500 BHP at the flywheel, going by the fuel usage and terminal speed / vehicle weight calculations.

It does make a lot of power at low revs, 319 WHP (in 5th gear) at just 4000 rpm, hence the high torque.

As stated before, at the next loading point (4500 rpm) the transmission let go, so I can only imagine that the torque was at a similar level (or higher) or the constant load from the dyno' didn't do it any favours.

I put in the whole rear beam from the 2005 spec V with Brembo package on today. It bolts right on with ZERO modification. I hear that this beam has less inward toe than the older B14 ones. Hopefully the handling is slightly improved. It is a little beefier piece than the one it replaces.

The transmission was ready to go on, but I decided to see if the starter would fit. I was told the stubby nose starter is the one I needed, but it hits the flywheel. Right flush with the ring-gear the nose hits the flywheel. I would post pics, but I'm tired. It took over 2 weeks to get this stubby starter so I wouldn't have to machine the flywheel. Looks like I will be swapping back to the long-nose starter and shaving the flywheel down.

The slave cylinder has been modified, but i am unsure whether it will work for this application. I won't know until I get the transmission bolted up. But that will prob be another week or so. The new wheels and tires will be here tomorrow, and the new knuckle assembly and clutch pedal is coming this week.
