Here are some comparison pics. I wish I could get ahold of a Spec V gearbox and do some measurements. but I did get ahold of the measurements for the P11 trans.

2nd Gear is approx 17mm wide, and 3rd is approx 14mm wide. Just looking at widths. I would like to see how the SpecV/altima trans is stronger. So I am stealing pics from Justin to get some opinions on this.

i have a 2005 spec-v tranny with the case off. i can take some measurements and pictures if you'd like...

so what trans is witch ? the bottom is the p11 ?

Yes sir. Bottom is P11. Problem is, I can't really see how this transmission is "stronger"

whats in top picture?

Top picture is a V6 6 speed from an altima. This is in Ninty-9 SEL's car.

Im curious about the measurments as well. The pics dont do the size of the gears justice and even then just looking at it you can see the size difference. The gears especially 1-4 are very very big. Just look at the size of the input and output shafts going through the center of the gears. They are rediculous as well.

Ill be anxiously awaiting measurements of the gears as well.

I have not come to a conclusion on this yet but I am thinking the extra size of the shafts is going to reduce flex in the shaft a lot. When I take it apart I will see.

I got some parts today.
Transmission with 47K miles on it.
Clutch pedal assembly from a 98 altima (not sure if it will work)
new sunvisors for the wife's car. hers were broken. put 04 sunvisors in a 98 sentra.
shifter assembly with cables. A little beat up but will see if it works ok.

I am going to get the swap kit and flywheel coming asap. And it looks like I'm gonna need a few other parts. As soon as I get the P11 gearbox out I will be selling it!
