get a screwdriver and find the black plastic idle screw on the right side of the intake manifold it's not hard to see. Turn it slowly while the car is running and you will hear your idle start to go up or down. I had to do this several times when I first got my DET running with BC2 cams after about a week the ECU learned and corrected the idle for me!

Adjusting the screw is used to set the base idle. You need to lock the timing to do that properly. The ECU will try to pull the idle back down to 800 unless you change the idle speed in the ecu. You may be able to get the idle speed up with the screw but the ECU will loose control of the idle speed at that point.
