S4 cams and T25
A couple questions about S4 cams and a T25. I am running my W10 T25 at 12psi on my de+t. I find it very lacking when it comes to highway driving and overall feels a bit slow from when I first turbo'd it. What gain can I expect from S4 cams and where will I feel this power? Are S4 cams plug and play or will I need a retune on my ECU?

^ I believe he means that he hasn't [bought or] installed these yet - just curious about the net gains.

To be honest, I don't know of the gains you will see, but you will almost definitely need a new tune as the powerband is going to change pretty drastically I imagine.

S4 cams are plug and play. When I had the cams on my T25, the powerband was so much stronger up top. The car didn't feel like it ran out of steam. Now having the gt2860rs with the larger ar, they are just awesome Great upgrade.

Before you upgraded to the S4 did it seem like your car did run out of "ommph" at higher speeds?

question for you: When you had s4 cams with your t25, what rpm did you shift at? Curious cuz I've been thinkin about s4's for a while now but I feel like they won't match a t25. Meaning, you shift a stock cammed t25 at 7k, or at least I do. Obviously s4 cams make more topend power so you would want to shift higher, but I feel like a tiny turbo like a t25 might run out of steam at say 7,500. How was your real life experience versus my theory?

The S4's will take over where the T25 leaves off and get you to the 7500rpm redline smoothly without you feeling that drop in tq like you do with the T25 by its self. I aksed the same question as have many people who wanted S4's. Once you put them in you will love them. Unless most of your driving is below 3k rpm and you rarely hit boost.

If I were to run a huge ass turbo I wouldnt be running S4's just to try to keep at least some midrange. But with smaller to mid sized turbos s4's are the best!

yeah, with S4s you can now shift the T25 setup to 7500 and will not feel like the drop, its an awesome upgrade...

S4 cams are just killer with a small/medioum sized turbo...
