UN dyno day #s updated with video
Dynod the sentra today. This dyno day saw 4 VVL turbo setups!

Here are my two graphs, runs were at 22-23psi.

4th gear:

3rd gear:

Compared to last years setup:

3 FWD VE-T dyno graphs.

The pink line is me, 22psi GT3076r TS with SR16 cams.
The black line is a 200sx with a 60-1 on a shorty manifold, NISDA standalone, 20psig.
The blue line is Sandy's car, also on a 60-1 with a UQL mani and 16-17psig. NISDA standalone.

You can see my setup spools pretty quick, the graph looks great in the 4th gear. Even though I am making more power than last year, the car still doesn't want to hit higher numbers on this dyno. Torque just drops off way too bad on the top end, so I don't know if this is a timing issue or what. The AFRs are decent. But torque just falls off really bad up top.

I did read plugs and they all show that the car could benefit from more timing. Perhaps 1-2* would be decent enough for the race gas and still be safe. But the car runs extremely hard. I can't wait for the water/meth kit so I can run this boost on the street with pump gas.

Perhaps one day this 30r setup will see its full potential, but not until an OBD2 tuning solution can be realized.

they all look, good, what size wheel is a 60-1 ? did you happen to see that VET s13 ?

Not sure on the size of wheel, but it spooled a lot later than mine and sandy's cars did.

The VE-T S13 laid down like 650whp running E98 on a GT4202r.

The numbers look fine....
Why not turn up the boost to 28psi or so?

Coheed maybe its just me but those numbers look low.

Strange, those numbers... I think the dyno reads low. You should be closer to 470whp at those boost levels on a dynapak. Great curve and you can tell that TS setup shines! Really do need to run her a few times around 26psi and watch that torque come up

I tried turning the boost controller up as far as it would go, but it wouldn't go any higher on this dyno. There is no load cell on this dyno, so we were running it in inertia mode.

Yes, the numbers on this dyno are always a bit of a heart breaker, but considering my last years number was like 380whp (dynojet made 459), so it seems to be making a bit more. Who knows. It runs good, I had C16 in the tank and the car could use some timing to make more power with the good gas. I just want it safe.

There were some Altima SERs only making 205whp.

Also, I trap 122mph in the 1/4 in a 2700lb car. The car runs amazing. It just doesn't want to make any more power lol. Remember the last time I added 2* of timing? I made 60whp more. So ya there is more in it, I just don't know how far I can push this 116 octane fuel on this boost level. More timing may be just what it needs.

The plug showed the discoloration on the strap closer to the tip of the strap than the apex. This shows that 1-3* of timing could be utilized. But plain and simple, the JWT map just sucks.

Jwt does blow coheed. So this dyno has no load ? If this is the case if you could turn on a load you would have far less real world hp.

it has a load, just not a big one. The load is constant, and this is not an inertial dyno. It is setup to read like one, but it is different.

I think the power it makes is great. The car runs hard on the street, spins 3rd rolling at 80mph. For this heavy car that is good.

I have a superflow up the street from me at EDGE tuning. I thought about taking it up there to dyno too. Hell, I got like 3 dynos within 3 miles of my house. All a little different. My favorite is the dynojet though. I get to push good boost on it, and the numbers are very consistent.

When I get my new crank pulley put on I will time the car and take it to the dynojet and see how these numbers compare to my previous best of 449whp 402wtq.

I am thinking I could get about 480whp on the dynojet. But who knows. The only way I can do any timing adjustments is globally with the dizzy. Which sucks.
