Thread: anyone running one of these? pre-intercooler pipe

I really dont think that will work... If the intercooler cant drop the air temperature enought before it gets to the IM, then that surely wont...

well its ''supposed'' to be a air cooler before the air cooler. so its in theory supposed to make the air cooler so when it goes through the intercooler its just that much cooler.

I really dont think it will help much... but it will be interesting to see some numbers of the air temp before and after the tube...

personally i dont think it would work very well becuase the air isnt going to directly pass over the fins as there are obstructions in the way on the turbo side of the intercooler piping, like radiator,fans,ect so i dont think that the fins would actually serve much of a purpose as the fins are there to be cooled by air passing over the cooling the interal air, but i dont think there would be direct air passing over the majority of the fins rendering it pretty useless, but it looks cool lol

I use three of them back to back to back, and my IATs are below ambient now!!!

Aluminum in itself dissipates heat very quickly. lol Adding fins isnt going to do anything more. hahahaha

When I go to race someone I really dont want to lose to, I just take off the front bumper, son that a lot more air gets to the intercooler and piping, a ghetto solution but somewhat effective...
