well nothing cheap is going to be fast, nothing fast is going to be cheap. that being said

how about a cheap mbc if you dont already have one and turn up the boost? without getting a larger turbo or better manifold a external wastegate and a tune you are slightly limited.

so doing small steps now like upping the boost that will be a start i doubt your turbo is out of its efficency at 15lbs

here is the thing. A 2871 or 3071 even used is gonna cost you 800-1000 depending on condition.

You can get a garrett 50 or 60 trim used for $300-$400 and a log manifold for $200, a wastegate for $100-$150 So all that right there is less than just the turbo for a t2 setup.

So then take that extra money and get yourself some 740cc injectors after selling the 555's and you will come out even.

The t3 setup will give you much more power and safer.

DET motor
JWT S4 cams
GT2871R
740cc Nismo Injs
JWT Pop Filter
Z32 MAF
JWT ECU
3 inch DP
3 inch exhaust
Aluminum flywheel
JWT clutch
Front mount intercooler.

365 WHP @ 15 PSI
410 WHP @ 20 PSI
455 WHP @ 25 PSI

I have done a few of these setups and have seen some others by other people.

LanceSR20 350 WHP @ 15 PSI ( on stock cams )
Serbans friend Bob 455 @ 25 PSI ( everythhing on list above )
Marty my friend 360 @ 17 PSI ( done with GT28RS everything on list above )
G Spec 340 @ 15 PSI ( done on GT28RS everything on list above )

This is one of the best setups around

@ 15 PSI 12.0 @ 116 MPH
@ 20 PSI 11.6 @ 122 MPH
@ 25 PSI 11.2 @ 126 MPH

what about the above set up on a de? should net similar results right? this would mean injectors, turbo and a retune from jwt...

10-12 PSI run 93 octane
13-17 PSI run 98 octane

to keep things 100% safe.

on a 9.5 to 1 DE the motor will make about 15 WHP more than the 8.5 to 1 DET

this maybe a newb question but how much psi can a de take on say 100 or 110 gas with a 2871?

I think its best to go to the dyno as results may vary depending on your setup. This thread has pretty much answered all your questions plus given you many other avenues to research.

add water/meth injection and you will not need race gas. 100oct will be safe at 20-22psi on a 9:5:1.

but getting into the water/meth then a larger turbo this seems like it might be out of your price range. but if you do want to run higher octane gas definitly go with a meth injection kit its alot less expensive than running higher octane gas.

although going with ethanol and a tune would ultimatly be cheaper than the 2 in the end, but its going to be way out of your range at this moment
