Good H beam rod for $
Hey I am looking at some eagles, vs manley, vs scat, vs brian crower, and any other h-beam rod out there. I hear the eagles are rated for like 750hp, manley are 600, but don't have much info on the scats but I hear they are good. Any of these will work just fine, but just looking for a good deal. I can find some scat rods for like $310 and eagles are cheap too. Just looking for what you guys think will work best.

the eagle rods are great i have them in my application.. i would say the eagle are going to be the best bang for the buck most definitly, esp with the arp rod bolts.. i dont feel i have anything to worry about running the eagle rods and i plan on maxing out my gt2871r and then eventually go up to a large bb turbo... just to give you a idea

many people use eagles with great success and they're greatly priced too.

yeah, my stockers took 420 easily, eagles 500. SCAT makes great sand rail motors/race motors. I would think there rods are also very good.

We have built many cars using eagle rods and they hold up great and like Brent mentioned a bang for buck when it comes to an aftermarket rod.

Any opinions on the BC h-beams? Just have not seen much feedback on them and wondering if any of you are running them and how much your hp your pushing with them?

i have scat rods in my block. I haven't run the motor yet though.

I was giong to do eagles but my engine builder said no to eagles. He said he's run across alot of eagles that you have to machine the big end to get them perfectly round. He said SCAT is identical to eagle since they are made by the same company in china. However from what i've been told the SCAT Rods are machined abit better. I know alot of people have run eagles with no problems, people tend to take eagles over scats so i dunno i guess we will find out. I went with scat cause that is what my builder told me to use. and he also specializes in SR20's so he knows which rods are good in the motors.

dang someone set me up. Thats dirt cheap for rods. I plan on pushing my VET to the turbo's limits. the gt3076r is good for 550 so I plan on pushing really close to that. Maybe even doing some spray on top for a few quarter mile runs. I have the pauter rods right now but they are too expensive to be expendable and I have had some bad luck lately. I figure if this motor goes as well I will have spent less to build it and I can build another one.

On another note, I hear of people running over the 600hp rating for the eagles. If I could do 600whp that would be awesome. max out the turbo and do maybe 50 shot haha.
