Thread: 20 PSI Internal Gate?

I'm picking up a GT2871R and am wondering if there is an internal wastegate available that will do 20psi, or will I have to use the old throttle return spring trick. Going externally gated is in the plan, but not untill after this season at least. Any one have any info they want to share?

Weld it shut and boost as much as the turbo wants...

Damnit! Why didn't I think of that earlier??? Any one else?

For now, use a boost controller to hit over 20psi.

Long term (when you go external gate), weld the internal wastegate shut.

The wg from that turbo should do 20psi no problem with a boost controller. Friend of mine is using the same turbo, and he's been up to 25psi.
