gtirwezz, make sure you use the GTIR block or DET block or VET block to do your build.

The standard VE-DE block will not clear the trans.


AWD block is diffrent that VE-DE block


This is going to be a great build.

I agree, it sounds like a good plan, will most likely end up with a longer powerband with the extra revs. Keep the torque down some and hopefully extend the life of the drivetrain. I have thought of something like this n/a but matched with the right turbo you will end up with one hell of a power band.

dre, i will be using the SR16 block dude, just machine away the nasty bit where the transfer case will need to clear

I also planned about this setup before became a father

why not just buying a straight cut gearset?

AWD and NA VE would not be that great. Too much power loss.
