well, we all have definitions and thresholds of what 'laggy' means. Granted, I went straight from a T25 to this 2871R so it's a little more extreme, but FWIU, the 28RS spools quite a bit quicker than the 2871R.

lol, ya, not going over 2500rpms seems to have caused my engine to start burning oil..

well the 28rs does spool up faster thats a known fact, but the 2871r makes more power for almost the same spool up. now i will say that even if you compare the t25 to the 2871r the t25 will be faster.

im also running cams and a ton of other things so my faster spool could also be comptributed to those other factors. at 1bar i seen full boost at like 3500rpm which isnt bad at all.

I see full boost by 4k rpm. S4 cams. Starts building around 3200-3500.

yeah thats not bad, i run the hks step 2 264/264 which i like, the s4 are good too though. personally i would take a turbo thats going to make great power and more power, over a turbo that is going to top out at lower whp but see faster spool times.

I run a 2871r right now on my GTiR zuki... The turbo spools good for what your looking for.

The question is how much do you have to throw down on a turbo?

maybe since i literally daily drive my car(my only car) is another reason why I think I would have been happier with the 28RS.

honestly no more than 500 at this moment but i'm still saving my money (college student budget) lol

i'd love a 2871r or a 2860

i have all these spare parts, i would even trade my full long block with everything for a damn turbo lol
