It isnt that tial or hks bovs are bad valves, but alot of people are buying knock off hks parts and tial parts these days and not even knowing it. I would say a good percentage of the tial wastegates, bov's, hks bov's, and aem wideband gauges are fake from ebay. So be careful who you purchase these said items from. This is coming from two friends who have both had customers cars come into their shop with ebay purchased parts, which were faulty and verified by calling the companies direct.

I do agree with Johnny wangwang though, you can have the best bov on the market but if you dont know how to adjust it or hook it up correctly it isnt gonna work so well.

i also agree with johnny, alot of people also disguard the greddy type s becuase of the need for adjustment on thew high and low boost spring valve setting, the bovs that need adjustments ie: tial for the spring and greddy for the valve adjustment spring, need proper adjustment in order to avoid compressor surge.

in general if you dont have your bov properly setup too ie: very long hosing or cheap hosing, or non deticated bov line you also can expierence surge even with the best bov.

this is because i had to buy the spring seperately as well, the one that came in it was like a 20-22 hg spring, i had to put a softer one just like any bov like you said it will need some type of adjusting that guy hp10t hooked me through his work

There's your problem! You need a spring in your BOV!

If you had a Snyapse, you wouldn't have to worry about ensuring you have the correct spring installed

LOL, i may go that route in the future, i currently have the hks race bov which is like the greddy type r. Its kind of a pain to get adjusted right.
