We had a DSM (Dodge Shadow) upwards of 260 WHP without an intercooler at 15 psi.
That was a 2.5L though. We were at the limit of the system. A larger turbo and/or some type of injection (water, meth, etc.) would have helped. Even nitrous can be used to chill the intake charge if your balls are top choice.

As for being a sleeper. Have you seen my IC install?

Merged these threads together. Maybe in the future you could construct your threads to ask multiple questions?

And after I'm always trying to get people to ask separate (unrelated) questions in separate threads to keep thing organized and easily searchable. :o

(Ignore the wonky grill and hood alignment. That has been fixed.)

the % gains of a larger intercooler out weigh the minor turbo lag that you will get. 100-200 RPMs slower turbo spool is not killing anyone.

Ben, that is a fantastic setup. By the way, absolutely digging the license plate.

Thanks Danja, it helps draw attention away from the intercooler, if you could even see any of it to begin with.

I've personally seen Zs with +20psi boost non-intercooled using meth/water injection. That's almost for sure +300hp.

So the same goes for enlarging the intercooler pipes? No ill effects and better flow in the end?

For a big 32 x 11.5 x 3 intercooler with only 2.25 in/out and pipes will it matter at all enlarging the pipes to 3 inch?
