Want to run more Boost
I want to run more boost but I know my stock b13 tranny won't like it. So i was wondering would it be better to just rebuilt the b13 tranny or buy a b15 tranny.

B15 or P11 transmission if you plan on going over 250 WTQ.
A rebuilt B13 transmission is not really any stronger where it matters.

If/When the tran fails just buy another(or B15/P11).

No sense in swapping out/rebuilding your current trans now if its functioning properly.

Agreed.

Some people seem to have "good luck" with the weak B13 tranny. Even turbo guys. Yours *may* last a long time.

Some people seem to have "bad luck" with the weak B13 transmission. Blowing up my original OEM tranny, and having it rebuilt twice, with nothing more than a NA DE with bolt-ons (not even cams). No racing, ever, not even stoplight to stoplight nonsense. No abuse. No bad habits. One (1) time on Roebling Road race course (after the second rebuild).

I'm on my second tranny, not willing to rebuild the B13 tranny again. A B15 tranny (from Greg V) with every possible upgrade/modification (clutch, fluid, Miko Tranny Saver Bracket) to make it last the rest of the life of the vehicle. I hope.

If you go that route, Greg V at GSpec seems to be able to find them. I bought mine from him, along with a Stage 3 clutchkit. I put myself on his "list" and he located one rather quickly. Also helped my mechanic via telephone on getting it installed correctly.

I kicked a tranny and I was N/A, no cams, nothing. Never did real racing. Only did some drag races a few times at Maple Grove Raceway. I had bad wheel hop and it cracked my tranny and broke my LSD apart.

Get a stronger B15/P11 tranny, especially if you are turbo already.

Almost forgot...

Upgrade your motor-mounts with any of our tranny options. You can make them yourself with window-weld (or similar pourable urethane, threads via search), or you can get Prothanes (urethane, pre-made, chassis specific, awesomeness) pretty inexpensive. Way, way, way, less expensive than new OEM mounts, which will shred anyways under turbo-power. I would assert that most folks go Prothane.

Prothane motor mounts all the way around, RM + AGX, no wheel hop, just tires breaking loose. 99 non-lsd tranny has been holding up for over a year with heavy driving at 9psi .

Wheel hop is what kills transmissions, it causes them to flex, which causes the gears to break.
