Thread: VE Head/Oil Pump,RWD Block, Cr.Pulley?

so my sr20ve head is on my s13 det block , ve oil pump, regular det crank spacer, i have my RWD Crank Pulley, now i believe i have to machine out 3mm on the red portion, and 3mm on the blue portion tapering down smoothly,

Isnt That Supposed to be ALL ?

Why would you say that?

If you use the ve spacer/oil pump drive you shouldnt have any problems with your crank pulley clearing the front cover. And if you already put your pulley on and tried tightening it, you might want to check your oil pump for marks from the pulley hitting it.

I dont know if you have noticed but the det spacer (if the same as the fwd det and de motors) doesnt stick out past the oil pump drive gear because its too short. I ran into problems doing this in the past.

You need to run the VE spacer in there and again, you shouldnt have any problems with clearance.

oh crap , will they have to tear down my entire motor to put that spacer : (

No, you can usually fish it out with some picks if it slid on nice and easy like it should have. I got mine out with no problems.

I bring this back up because I am experiencing a similar issue.

I used the VE Spacer and the DET Crank pulley

I want to retain the AC, PS, WP, ALT setup but I notice the pulley seems to be forward about 3-5mm... Are you using the DET or VE crank pulley Fugitive?

you need to machine around that 3mm-5mm where its blue and red in that pic about to send it back, try taking some measurements , we probably took off about 4 or 5mm on mine to get it to line up right.

What are you doing about your timing pin if its the ve oil pump?
