Pop charger on blow through.
I have the Accord intake on my T28 with a little jrc frontmount and an N60 set up blow through. BB BOV on cold side blowing to atmosphere but it will be DSM 1g soon thanks to Ameen.

Anyway I have a Z32 JWT POP charger. I was thinking of fabbing up a MAF adapter and mounting it. Is there any benefit?

I would. In fact, I just won a Z32 POP on ebay for this exact purpose. I set my accord intake up so the filter sits inside the fender well. Even the hot pipe that crosses over above the exhaust manifold is cold when I pop my hood and feel it.

Unfortunately I've got my cold side routed through the fender. My filter is where the stock MAF goes. Part of me just doesn't want to play cars anymore. Thank god its running right. Knocks wood.

DSM 1g bov is the ****. Car runs so much better and spools up a lot quicker.

It would be a waste. Just sell it.

YOu want a pop charger when the air is being sucked in through the maf so that it doesnt see turbulent air. But with a blow through setup the maf is seing that air after the turbo compresses it so it doesnt really matter that the air being sucked in is turbulent.

Also the BB DET and the 1gen DSM BOV are the exact same. Both are also not real BOV's. They are Recirculation valves. If you run them open to the atmospere they will leak! Either recirc it or go buy a BOV that can be run open atmospere

They are definitely not the same. Much faster spool and better ilde after changing over. Night and day. I may recirc it one of these when I am inclined to remount the BOV on the hot side.

I think I'll hold onto the POP charger and mount it up when I feel like working on the car again. Right now all I want to do is drive it.

My cold side piping including the bov is routed through the drivers side fenderwell also. There is still room in there for the intake and air filter. The colder the air coming into the turbo, the colder the air going into the throttle body.

I think there are 2 pretty simple ideas that will work...

I know its sounds ghetto Benito, but you could just rock one of the intake velocity stacks that BPI or BLox makes... they seem to be the happening thing to do for the honda world, and some of the guys on here recently It will couple right on the end of the intake, and u can use the same filter as the pop...

Or you could just couple the maf adapter to the end of the intake pipe. I don't think welding it is really necessary... but that way your not limited...

I think those are both cheap options... I have a pop charger and its pretty similar to the blox piece I just bought. If were talking fluid-dy, i don't think the entrance coefficient would change that much from the pop to the blox/bpi.

As far as the pop charger... eliminate the maf portion. If were just talking pre turbo... it really doesn't matter too much, but with fluid flow adding a velocity stack eases the entrance coefficient before the air enters the turbo. The difference is probably small, but every little thing helps.

The dsm and u12 bluebird bpv's may have the same flange, but they aren't the same... Diaphrams a bit dif, and when crushed they do work a little different. But I understand what you are saying...
