I think there are 2 pretty simple ideas that will work...
I know its sounds ghetto Benito, but you could just rock one of the intake velocity stacks that BPI or BLox makes... they seem to be the happening thing to do for the honda world, and some of the guys on here recently
It will couple right on the end of the intake, and u can use the same filter as the pop...
Or you could just couple the maf adapter to the end of the intake pipe. I don't think welding it is really necessary... but that way your not limited...
I think those are both cheap options... I have a pop charger and its pretty similar to the blox piece I just bought. If were talking fluid-dy, i don't think the entrance coefficient would change that much from the pop to the blox/bpi.

YOu want a pop charger when the air is being sucked in through the maf so that it doesnt see turbulent air. But with a blow through setup the maf is seing that air after the turbo compresses it so it doesnt really matter that the air being sucked in is turbulent.
Also the BB DET and the 1gen DSM BOV are the exact same. Both are also not real BOV's. They are Recirculation valves. If you run them open to the atmospere they will leak! Either recirc it or go buy a BOV that can be run open atmospere
As far as the pop charger... eliminate the maf portion. If were just talking pre turbo... it really doesn't matter too much, but with fluid flow adding a velocity stack eases the entrance coefficient before the air enters the turbo. The difference is probably small, but every little thing helps.
The dsm and u12 bluebird bpv's may have the same flange, but they aren't the same... Diaphrams a bit dif, and when crushed they do work a little different. But I understand what you are saying...
