Nismo/HKS Injectors 555cc or 615cc?
I believe to answered my own question but thought to share...
I purchased slightly used yellow top injectors that are rated at 555cc. I had them test flowed at 552cc. I believe they tested at 90% duty cycle, definitly not at 100% because they wanted the fastest pulse speed (most stressed condition). So I'm assuming they are actually rated at 615cc/min with respect to 100% duty cycle (615cc*0.9= 553.5cc).
The "new style" Nismo/HKS are rated at 615cc and "old style" at 555cc. The problem was determining which injector correlates to each style, since they are both yellow tops. I was hesitant to test flow new injectors but it made me determine which style injector. Furthermore, this is important to know when getting your ecu reprogrammed. Also for reference the two numbers found on the new style injector is 00G7G11 and A46-Z00.
Also interesting to find some people having issues with the earlier styles...
