Just a little update. I ended up going with 550cc injectors after talking with JWT. I also just spent the money on upgrading my current JWT ECU for the new setup. It was the most cost effective at this time for me. I had to send in the injectors for the ECU upgrade, and they all flowed at the advertised rates, so that's good news. Got them off of eBay for $200.

Here is a shot of the turbo. I was going to buy the ATP wastegate bracket for fwd sr applications, however, I realized we could just make our own. So we took the bracket from another turbo, cut off a tab from the bracket that came with it and welded it to the old bracket, and viola, saved $28. I did however purchase a new 6psi wastegate. I have an HKS EVC to use with it as well. I am going to tap the turbo tomorrow for a boost reference line. Since I already had an oil line run, I got the correct oil fitting for my line. I also picked up some nice coolant fittings. Reclocked the turbo to work with my JGY IC setup. I also picked up a gti-r manifold as recommended.

I am getting some help from a local member tomorrow, so I am hoping to get most of it back together.

I just helped a fellow forum member upgrade form a GTI-R T28 to a Disco and it was very easy. Good luck, I will be doing the same upgrade soon hopefully...

have your manifold flange milled down 3/4" and it should fit fine, I didn't on my 28r which is same as a 28 and I had to grind the block/trans to get the intake to fit 2.5"

Here are a two pictures with the disco mounted using that bracket and wastegate.

Now a problem I am having. So everything is lined up great except the oil drain. Here are two pictures to show the problem I am having. I am so close to getting this car buttoned up and on the road, so hopefully someone has some insight. The oil drain coming out of the turbo does not line up with the oil return fitting in the block. They are off center, and very close. I have tried various pre bent hoses, and nothing works. What other options are available? The shiny piece pictured is just the thermal sleeve for my coolant lines.

get some worm clamps and a barbed fitting. it actually looks like you used pex fittings lol.

or just get a some hose that can bend the way you need it but still be able to flow oil i.e no kinks etc.

stratton.

How about some new fittings? Like a 45 out of the block pointed towards a 45 out of the turbo? Maybe able to line them up enough to stick a straight hose on.

So far I have tried various hoses with no success. I have one that may be close that I will try tomorrow. I think if its close, and I can clamp the shit out of it, it will get me by until I can come up with a better solution. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
