3inch down pipe fitment
Will a 3inch downpipe fit on the stock turbo elbow off a t25 turbo?

if it's made to fit yeah

I have a crush bent I bought used and it fits fine. It's low, be careful over bumps.

T25 and T28 housings are clocked differently so you have to make sure you have the right ones. Otherwise you can chop/weld.
My 3" dp has a few scrapes but I can still get over speed bumps w/o hitting as long as they aren't too big.

DP selection is always based off of manifold, not turbo.

If running Avenir/Bluebird manifold you need the T25 downpipe, if GTI-R manifold the T28 downpipe.

I had a T25 and upgraded to a GT2871R and the DP that was on the T25 bolted right up to the 2871R.

No man its due to the O2 housing not the manifold. The 3 studs on the dp side of the oxygen sensor housing are clocked differently between GTiR and Av/bb.

The 5 studs on the turbine side of the oxygen sensor housing are slightly different between GTiR and Av/bb but you can get either to fit by hogging out one of the holes.

The VRS website specifically distinguishes between the two;

Hmmm, well usually you use the O2 housing w/the same type of manifold. So I guess we're both right I didn't fully realize it was just the bolt pattern, I thought it was also kind of where the turbo was positioned between the T28 and T25 manifolds.

The manifolds should put the turbo in the same location but like you said usually the O2/manifold/dp are matching so its not something you come across a lot.

but the downpipe i need will be off the elbow and not the actual turbine housing, because the bbdet motor i have has the o2 elbow coming off turbine housing and then bolted to dp that was cut right under the motor.
