^Thats the first step.

The DE will handle a lot of boost that you can throw at it. The thing I would worry more about is rod bearings. I cannot stress enough to slap a fresh set in when you plan on putting some abuse on the motor and high rpm's are always happening.

Next step for reliability is the trans which your best bet will be a P11/B15 trans conversion.

tuning is the biggest part in relieability of the motor PERIOD.

the next part of relieability is how well you piece together the turbo kit and the parts you use.

those are 2 major things

^^^ Agreed... let us know what your power goals are or what you want the car setup for.

#1 tap the block for the oil return.
#2 run a stainless line from the pressure sender for your oil feed.
#3 tap the lines at the throttle body for coolant feed and return.
#4 bolt on all the turbo parts and supporting mods.
#5 enjoy.

In general, I think BLUBIRD is right. You need to get ready to tune carefully before you go crazy with boost. In order to properly tune your setup, you need to decide on what type of fuel management you're going to run, and get a wideband air fuel meter. If you don't already know how to use that equipment, you'll want to do some heavy duty reading on what you're shooting for when people say "good tuning". My personal recommendation is the Zeitronix ZT-2, but there are plenty of good widebands out there.

I'd have to say the most common turbo DE setup is the T25 Bluebird setup. It's safe, reliable, good for about 250hp, very reliable, and plenty of fun to drive. From there it only goes up in price and potential. I don't know what the record is for a turboed DE motor is, but it's not unreasonable to shoot for 300hp+ with the DE motor.
