Sequential twin SR? Hmmm......
Finally found a nice 96 240sx. Not quite mint, but close enough for me. It has the ka24, but it's first on the list to go. Was thinking of a rb20, or an sr20. Then got to thinking......this usually gets me in trouble.

How about a sequential twin turbo setup? Don't see too many on an sr20. I've seen it done on 2jz's, rb26dett's, and other fabled engines. I'm sure the b14 is no canidate, but the 240, being rwd frees up room, and LOTS of possibilites. I do love to weld up some crazy stuff, and making the needed manifolds and such would be no problem. I do believe I could pull this off.

My question is, I'm only familiar with the DE's, and was looking to you guys as what may be a better platform for such a setup? I know everyone praises the VE's, but would I be better off with a beefed up det? A bb perhaps?

I'm also still wading through pages of compressor maps and turbine specs to find just the right turbo combo to pull this off.

Just a little of what's new on my drawing board.

Thoughts???? Suggestions????

You will lose spool and efficiency to a good single turbo setup. The 2.0 doesn't need more than one turbo. the packaging and plumbing makes it a lot more complicated to make happen. Basically, bottom line, it ends up being money wasted.

Another engine perhaps? I've seen everything from sr20's, rb's, vq35's, to even ls2's swapped into 240's.

I just like to be a little different sometimes. Never was much of a follower. Always liked to do my own thing....ya know? Gives me something to do.

The 1uzfe is from a lexus isn't it? Seem like I remember that somewhere. Good idea though! Forgot about those.

Although the 1uz is a beast of a motor I would stick with the KA and just turbo that.

If you've got it work with it lol. My 240sx has no motor... And 1UZFE's are CHEAP.

Agreed. The 1UZ is a shining engine but if you have a KA24DE then keep that. Put in some pistons and rods and boost it. Much easier, cheaper, and you'll make gobs of power. If you want to rev it high, go with some valve springs and it's ready to go higher than an SR.
