you need about 30-40% more fuel with the e98 e85 fuels, but the price difference more then makes up for it. You still save some money when using the "E" fuels, although the initial investment is higher because of the large injectors and the rest of the fuel system.

But you are also not destroying the ozone, and you can make more power off the E98 then C16 or c23, and comparable to VP Import.

Last I checked, 5 years ago, a drum of vp import was $1200.

The muscle car guys are making 1400 hp on 250lb/hr inj and ~900whp on 150lb/hr (1600cc) on "E" fuels with 8an lines

it is not bad if I can get a drum of it for 500.00 or so , I think I can get it locally so we will see ....the only problem I see with tunning and runnig e89 or e85 is that once you tune for it , it seems like it would be hard to run a regular fuel again , for instance if you are on a road trip or something ...

Yeah your not going to run through 2.5-3 tanks for one tank of C16......NOT A CHANCE! I don't think you have actually tried it if your making those claims.....We run it on alot of our street strip cars... Amazing alternative. And its not hard to detune back to pump gas if need be, maybe takes 1.5 hrs depending on your management. For our big hp cars we usually recommend -10 lines, just so you can rest easy....Do the math and see how much you would actually save at the track just through one season....

depending on your management, tkae for instance aem ems, you can have multiple maps for regular pump gas and then have a map for c16 gas and then just switch from one to the other when you wanna change the gas.

but it all depends on what type of managment you are running

I was going to use it to raise the octane level of my everyday premium so to help avoid detonation

you can run mixtures of x ammount of race gas to xx ammount of pump gas to get a higher octane valve without having to get into the hassles of full blown race agses

That is what I intended to do ...

also in the ethanol debate, let's not forget about those few who are running 1000cc injectors. what would the upgrade to? another set of 96lb'ers? there use to be a place here that sold 115 octane Unocal 76 fuel. i filled up one time b/c i had a crap load of carbon in my engine and i was going to the track that night too. it did not kill my o2 sensor like i thought, but i might have just gotten lucky.

For upgrading your injectors you have lots o options. You could maybe go to 1200cc, or 1600cc....just depends on your goals and if your running alternative fuels..
