gt30 on gtir manifold
anyone have any pictures or anyone running a gt30 on a gtir manifold ? how well does it fit and such?????

im running it now! u will have to grind the block down some so ur inlet will fit. its not much at all cause i did it in about a min or 2 of grinding. i had to grind down one of the tranny bolt hole areas on the block, but bolt still cranks down. once u put it on the mani and go to put the mani/turbo the motor ull see where u need to grind....

what compressor housing did you get ? the big S cover or the smaller one ?

not sure, got it from a friend of mine who had it made. its a t2 flanged gt3076r, .64ar and a 3in inlet...

you should get the flange machined so it sits out more from the block..instead of hacking up your block

you need the comp housing with the 2.75" inlet to clear the block on the gtir manifold.

Compressor housing for GT3071R with 71mm 56 trim wheel - 2.75" Inlet and 2" outlet : atpturbo.com

I have a spare one since I switched over to the 4" anti-surge housing.

i was thinking the same, but my grinds were that deep plus the inlet cover the grinds so u wouldnt even know. but machineing the mani is also a good way to go aswell

yep machining the flange works good too.

you mill the mounting surface for the manifold where it bolts to the head. by putting a slight angle on it you will move the turbo away from the block.
