Yah that's not how diagnosis is done.

Uhhh... When did the rattling noise happen? During shifting? With the clutch pedal in? With the clutch pedal out? Accelerating? Decelerating? All the time? Only around corners?

rofl

sounds like you ****ed up diagnosing

I can't count how many times I've gotten cars with lean/maf sensor codes, I look at the intake, there is a brand new maf, then I look at the intake boot and there is a huge hole in the hose after the maf.... monkey's shouldn't work on cars.

no, i'm not being friendly, but sometimes people should look into things before they tear them apart....

Now that you mention all that, it could very well be that the diff has kicked the bucket. I've never experienced it, but I think it was Dre who said if the diff is gone you'll know it for sure. All sorts of racket coming from the transmission.

Well, if the noise goes away at all while the clutch is pushed in, it is likely a bad input shaft bearing, or perhaps a TOB?

The trans isn't going to make noise unless something is really wrong. and a rattle at any speed, or while the car isn't moving, sounds like a bad input shaft bearing to me.
