Thread: best final ratio for 1/4 mile

i have 2 manual transmission. 3.8 non lsd. and 4.1 lsd.

WHICK IS THE BETTER RATIO FOR 1/4?

3.8 non lsd and then add an LSD.

Obviously (for the sake of this thread) you're referring to forced induction, and not N/A.

Otherwise, it's a game changer.

yes my car is a sr20de-t, msd 50lbs injectors, z32 maf, wolf pop package

4.176 with a VE revving higher. Could trap 145-150mph and run 10s finishing 4th gear.

well thats my ratio in the lsd box.

i ran a 11.8 with the 3.8 ratio and slicks on 13 lbs tonight

It all depends on where you make peak power, slick size and trap speeds... go to a trans calculator and plug some numbers in and you'll be able to tell quickly what will work best.
