you don't need a wastegate, they are over rated. Just ask sneakers!

Okay boys and girls...

I spoke with Bruce this evening, (Very nice conversation, very nice guy!) and he sent me some more samples for my choosing. I want to know what you all think, even though I'm pretty set on one particular manifold.

First up, is the Protech EL manifold, top mount turbine setup. The one earlier in the thread is similar, though #1 and #3 primaries are not recessed, but forward in the manifold's design.

Second up, is the Protech EL(?) Sidewinder bottom mount manifold (shown as twin scroll)

Last, is the EL bottom mount manifold, which I'm kinda iffy on.

I'm curious to see your opinions, based on the three that I've selected from a handful, as my manifold style I'll be running with.
My concern for the sidewinder, is battery location. It doesn't seem like the battery will be in the way, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

My issue with bottom mount manifolds, is ease of access to the turbine, and intercooler pipe routing.

Thoughts?

Tekkie I am a big fan of the EL bottom mount. Turbine access with not be as bad as you think and also the IC piping will not be to hard to make/route.

^i agree the EL having the best turbo placement as far as accessability, makes it a definite plus

After looking at both all friggin day, I'm liking the bottom mount more and more

I think I'm going to tell bruce that I'll go ahead and go with the bottom mount, since he hasn't started on it yet.

Scratch that. He just sent me a dozen or so more photos of different style EL manifolds, and I saw one that I immediately fell in love with, and am for sure going to go with.

SECHS! Compact, looks badass, and like it means business.

in those pics you linked, that top mount e/l is the one i had bruce make me, it is slightly different to the normal protech topmount set up due to where i wanted the turbo.

he made it up to fit off of some measurments and pictures i sent him
