Indeed, although not sure if 28RS is exactly same as 2871R, but you have to ream out the oil drain bolt hole on the stock oil drain extension to get the bolts to fit onto the 2871R. Other than that, everything pretty much bolts up. Might want to consider a restrictor for the BB turbo though.

forgot about the oil drain. I used a drain designed for the gt series turbos to avoid this. I am using the stock drain on my gt3071r and I had to make some changes so it would work.

why not? det's handle 450 or so stock right? as long as the afrs are good i say go for it. but on that boost id richen up the ideal afrs. 11.8-12flat is ideal but for ur lbs (im runnin about the same on my gt30r) i like my afrs from 11-11.5. i may go a tad bit richer though....

Do the stock lines have a restrictor built into them at all? If not, ATP has a restrictor I believe, but will that still work with stock lines?

Also, is the gt28rs good for 20psi daily?

That's pushing it. Diesel turbos are designed for that, but not many of the gasoline turbos.

hehe..Garrett has CHRA exchange. Send them your CHRA they send you another one back at a reduced price($500 or so).

You could run it till it dies and buy a new one for $500 I wonder how long it'd last on 20psi daily..Probably longer than you think.

thats getting to the edge of its efficiency range. I have seen them run up to 22psi. 18psi is a good spot for this turbo and I made good power at 15psi with a external gate.
