Ok, so I'm bumping a sort of old post, but whatever. My friend and I decided to experiment with the spare DE block we have sitting around to try to see if it was absolutely possible to drill and tap the stock oil feed location. We've only drilled maybe a 1/4" back so far, but have found nothing yet.
My question is, has anyone actually done this before to know if it is doable? What are the chances that on the DE block the galley is completely not there, rather than just being plugged off?
Also, I know in the first pic I said it was the second bolt from the top - I got that from a post by Cliff from a much older thread. However, before starting anything we looked around and found that it was clearly the top hole in the picture that was the correct oil port. Look here, or here for a pic.
Before we go drilling into the block anymore I just want to make sure that the galley does in fact exist behind here still.
