GTIR T28 Housing options
Hi there
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what housing would slip on the exhaust side of the stock GTIR T28 turbo to convert it to an externally gated and T3 flange? I Contacted a turbo builders in Oz who states that have one off the shelf that will slip straight on with V-Band etc but they wont state further details on which one it is (most likely so I wont contact someone else to get the part).
Have any of you ever converted a T28 to have a larger housing? Should I give up on this and look at getting some other T3 flanged turbo (T3 flange as this is what manifold I have).
If you go with a larger exhaust housing but same factory exhaust wheel, will it free up anything at all to reduce combustion chamber temps on a VE head?
Cheers for any help you can offer, Im not too good at reading compressor maps etc on turbos... dont really understand them
