Get the Mazworx flywheel. Its 108 tooth. Weighs 10.something lbs and is taller.
I have one in my garage waiting to go in next week... Want some pics?

how much was he making to the wheels?

I am about about to rebuild my bottom end and put on a 60-1 that i picked up from Jerry(Scrildo)

How did he drive, I heard that the tranny life can be extended by not slamming into gears, especially 3rd, but this is 4th he lost?

He has a 60-1, stock 2.0 cams with valve springs. Running a Honda ECU, tuned. Makes about 420whp on 13psi with 340wtq or so.

The car is no joke, it is fast. But he can't keep a transmission in it.

Thanks Ashton, good to know that the p12 is an option. I need that Crank sensor! There is a lot to do for this conversion and I would really dislike having to go with a hydro trans and changing hubs and all that.

I hope the 6 speed is worth it lol.

Anyone got pics of the internals to see how much stronger the gears look ...we were all conviced years ago the B15/P11 transmissions were as tough as nails , now it seems to be common place to see one getting broke , so it would be nice to know this is going to work , or mayby we will want to pursue one of those companys that make billet gears for subies and hondas ect. to do a group buy for us to get somthing like this started , hell mayby use the 6spd as the trans to have gears made for, because it is in a lot of cars not just the specv so there maybay a market for them , I like the idea of the 6spd , because it is a daily drivers dream gearbox beacause of the super tall 6th talk about MPG .....oh well just a thought

Did any of you open your b15/p11 tanny prior to install. If you did not open it you have no idea what condition the gear stacks were in. I always open mine to check the stack and to make sure nothing is out of spec. From what I have seen you get primary and secondary damage which causes the tranny to fail. The primary damage is always due to grinding the gears which chips the edges of the stack. Once you have chipped a tooth it will fail and take out the rest of the teeth on that gear. the case is what makes the b15/p11 tranny stronger the gears are not that much stronger than the b13,b14,p10. If you want something bullet proof then you should look to put a par gear stack in but I doubt any one is dropping 5k on that. The spec v is a good option but I have seen plenty of those fail in turbo cars already.

btw shock proof heavy and good motor mounts go a long way to keep your tranny in one piece. I still have the stock b13 tranny that has held over 330lbft for 3 years. This being said I have a p11 on the floor waiting for the new build.

There are some ways to keep the tranny alive for some time... I will post info later.I just build a sr16 tranny with independent 3 4 gears custom made .I will put this trans now and see if this can hold 550lbs of torque for a while... IF this works good I can start to sell them to you .

Cheers.
