I am running some NGK race plugs. Heat range 8. Non-resistor and non-projected tip.

Not really. The 740cc injectors should be good to 500whp or so. I'm only making 350whp right now. Maybe when I am running 30+psi of boost I will need bigger injectors. But for now, these 740cc are just fine.

The car runs great on a solid 15psi. it feels just awesome! I love this car. LOVE IT! I finally got to a point with the car where I think it is perfect as far as the motor goes. The trans/clutch need some perfecting. But the output and response of this motor is top-notch and incredibly fun to drive. It responds very similar to a disco potato but maybe 2-300rpm slower boost onset. But the power is great for such low boost. Being able to rev the VVL to 8500rpm is truly what makes it so great. The gearing matches the higher revs much better, and keeping it in the sweet spot is much easier.

The VVL is switching on at 4000rpm intake and exhaust, and you can STILL feel it kicking. I can probably engage the VVL even sooner for quicker spool up. I will play with it on the dyno. Engaging the VVL right off of 3000rpm may make for a few ponies in the low-end and quicken things up a bit.

Ran at the track today at 22psi.

12.6 first run 122mph and a 2.423 60'
12.3 2nd run 121mph and a 2.255 60'

I'm nailing 95-96mph in the 1/8th running 8.4 and 8.2 respectively.

Hoping to run again soon and get the 60' down to a 2.0 at least so I can nail 11s. Maybe pull a 1.8 and run 11.5?

Not sure if its visible in the 12.3 video Andy took but you had a little wheelspin at the top of first gear but at launch it looked like you were taking it real easy. 20% wheelspin throughout first gear is actually a good thing. You prevent bogging and you don't actually lose any sort of acceleration. Its really okay in a FWD on slicks to light up the slicks on launch. My technique before was actually rev limiter and clutch dump for low 1.7's. Slicks require a much different technique then street tires because spinning them in first gear with manual trans is actually a good thing. Your car did a lot better then...
I only did 94mph 1/8th when I did 125.

You were on slicks pulling those 60ft times? If so you need to launch higher, but good job getting the times down. Keep it up you will get better.

Yeah, I was launching at 7000rpm. I tried to modulate the clutch, but it is towards the end of its life and is very grabby. I'm gonna try a dump on friday and see if I can't get a better launch.
