Dang, 460whp on 20psi is good. I will get there. But the VE motor seems to really love bigger hotsides. The bigger turbine SC61 and 60-1 make insane power at lower boost levels. The GT30R was designed for higher pressure ratios. It compliments my lower compression though.

Though I won't make a ton of power on low boost levels, I really think this turbo can get me close to where I wanna be.

Nothing yet. I pulled the plugs and the ground strap was white, so I am in the midst of checking part-throttle AFRs and getting the car ready for race day friday... if it doesn't rain anyway.

But the plugs being white does concern me. Part throttle under boost should still have good AFRs so I don't know why the plugs read so lean. I think this is a problem with the MAF being blow-through; perhaps the maf is getting false readings at part throttle? Has anyone else had issues like this? My MAF needs to be about 4 more inches away from the throttle body I think.

I think the issue may be resolved by rotating the maf to get better readings when the throttle plate is half shut. But I need to get ahold of a wideband to find out. I wouldn't imagine 10psi running lean could do much damage, but you never know. I would like to know that this isn't an issue when I really start pushing it though.

So, anyone else have luck rotating maf to get more consistent readings?

^What tranny was Manny running and what did he have done to it? People had been running B13 tranny's with 400WHP on the OG forum all day long, and now all a sudden guys think you have to have a QR to pull out of the driveway. I think a P11 tranny cryo should hold up well if a person don't slam the sh*t of of the gear box.

Manny had a P11 box.

I will be using a B14 box to start off with. We'll see how it goes. If it does not hold I will look for a newer non LSD box and add a phantom grip.

The P11 case is a lot stronger, and the gears are placed further to the ends of the shafts. But the gears are marginally stronger. They still break. I never bang 3rd and I slowly let the clutch out, but I broke my p11 yet again. So far so good on this build though.

My friend nailed his 2-step (with anti-lag) on the street with 408whp, launched the car, and twisted the input shaft right off inside the tranny. The clutch held up just fine though

You have to chose your weak point clutch or tranny. I rather replace the clutch then have to work on the tranny.

Replacing tranny parts is cheaper though. QG18 gear stacks could be had for only $100. Good luck finding a clutch that cheap

Besides, after rebuilding these transmissions 5-6 times you get it down to a 5-hour job. 2hours is filling the heavy shockproof
