Well, last night about 10:30 I decided to pull the trans. Well once I got it out, i figured I would just rip this spare SER trans apart and get the FD gear out of it.
I counted 71 teeth on the FD gears. Swapped the diff/gear assembly.
Then I figured I might as well put her in. My friend Ben helped me out and kept me motivated. Took 5 hours.
Took the car out, and Ben says it is the fastest car he's ever felt on 10psi. He has a 20G boosted 1st gen Talon, and he says my car feels much faster.
The car has no leaks. No more funny noises. Runs absolutely perfectly. The trans hasn't felt better in a very long long time. So let's hope this tranny holds up.
Words of wisdom, don't ever run anything but Heavy Shockproof in any trans when you are making over 350whp. And change your fluid once every 10K miles min when at that power level. The shockproof can break down over time and thin out.
Perhaps the car will go to the track tonight. Trap 110+mph on low boost would be really cool.
Thanks for reading.
